我曾比喻過，聽 Lana Del Rey 的歌，這過程就像吸毒一樣，你會沉浸在一個既頹靡又亢奮又舒適的狀態，連續聽幾個小時都不會膩。或許 Lana 也是利用她的曲風，在歌詞中玩了一點小花樣。

這首歌當然可以很單純地把它當作一首愛的表白歌曲，惋惜尚未向離開的愛人表白，想起過去兩人相處時的美好日子。不過看得更深入，或者說看得更黑暗面一點，會發現很多小東西是別有用心的。歌詞中，將愛人比喻為夏日的冰淇淋，好像很可口，其實就是象徵一段短暫的夏日戀情，如同 Summer Time Sadness 一曲，雖然她深愛著對方，但她知道對方只是個過客，夏日結束，便如融化了的冰淇淋一樣。 Medellín, tangerine dreams 這一句也很有趣， Medellín 是以買賣走私毒品出名。歌詞中應該是指吸食毒品後的幻覺，看見關於橘子的夢境。或許她是為了忘記失去愛人的痛苦而吸毒，又或許只是為了娛樂自己？為何說是娛樂自己呢？因為這首歌裡面全都是奢華靡爛的意象，幾乎沒有一點難過心碎的氛圍。或許她早以知道，她的愛人薩爾瓦多終會離開她，所以寧可吸毒享樂，不願面對現實。

另外一個很有趣的地方是 ciao amore ， ciao 字面上有兩種可能的意思，一是哈囉，二是掰掰，所以她看似呼喚著她的愛人，其實是在說再見，尋找下一段戀情。
