The lumineers

我很喜欢 Sleep on the Floor 的 MV ，男主角要女友和他一起远走高飞，她犹豫着，最后答应了。随着旋律，仿佛看见一个未知、但很美好的将来。这首歌说的是把握当下，趁著青春还在，勇敢上路。

第一、二段是叙事者要他的女友打包好，准备上路。在这一刻，他们都年轻、充满热情与勇气，在这股冲动下，要是因为担心顾虑而不上路，或许这一辈子就要永远被困在平凡如死水的小镇了。有些事，确实是此刻不做，这一辈子就都不会去做了。副歌的部分，他疑惑著，要是世界末日来临，他会选择放弃，就此死在平凡之地，还是会选择抓住一丝希望，挣扎，奋力争取幸福的未来。况且，现在并不是世界末日，胜利的机会大得多，那么，到底有什么理由不去争取、不去尝试呢？”Jesus Christ can’t save me tonight”，此刻，他最需要的不是耶稣的救赎，而是他心爱的人愿意相信他。他需要另一半愿意与他一同踏上这条冒险之路。

至于歌曲的标题，我也有点疑惑为何叫做 Sleep on the Floor。我猜想是说，即使没有房子没有床、没有安定的生活，只要他们俩愿意一起踏出这一步，睡在地板上也会很幸福。

仔细看了看 MV ，有点纳闷这个影片到底想表达什么。影片的最后一幕，女孩躺在地上，表情充满忧伤。原本以为是男主角离开了、死了、或者其他可能，但不知道大家有没有注意到，女主角在最后穿的是和影片开头同一件衣服。我想，或许是其实女主角一开始并没有答应男友的要求，在影片43秒的地方，女主角的身影有点糊掉，像是分身一样，或许是有一部分的她希望和男友一起离开，但另一部分的她没有勇气这么做。所以影片中间的冒险部分其实是女主角的幻想，影片结局是她躺在地板上，或许正懊悔著自己的胆小懦弱、放不下，又或者只是单纯地想念著男友。
