这首歌传达的氛围和 Radiohead 的 Pyramid Song 有点像，是一种平静中隐隐的痛，不过心碎的感觉比较强烈一点，仿佛一切都发生过了，事过境迁，自己既没有能力改变什么，也没有心思去这么做，只能任凭生活这样糟糕下去。

歌词内容有点难理解，不过从 bell 和 church 大概可以知道指涉的是分裂破碎的婚姻。

一段感情中，最令人害怕的，并不是争执，而是沉默，转而变成难以察觉的渐行渐远，最后，直到双方已经相对无言，才知道再补救也没有用，又或许再也没有补救的必要了吧!我想，最难以接受的分手理由，是”感情淡了”，当初两人在一起时，曾激起多么闪耀壮丽的火花?当初可是曾经抱着要相守一生的心愿，怎么可以因时间的冲刷而让”感情淡了”成为分开的理由?当然，若真的淡了，也没有理由勉强留住对方，只不过，这将会是最悲伤的分手理由了。并不是因外力介入，并不是内部纷争，只是，对你没感觉了，火，熄了，罢了。

在那火花闪耀之际，谁会预料到一地余烬，奄奄一息呢?
