這首歌傳達的氛圍和 Radiohead 的 Pyramid Song 有點像，是一種平靜中隱隱的痛，不過心碎的感覺比較強烈一點，彷彿一切都發生過了，事過境遷，自己既沒有能力改變甚麼，也沒有心思去這麼做，只能任憑生活這樣糟糕下去。

歌詞內容有點難理解，不過從 bell 和 church 大概可以知道指涉的是分裂破碎的婚姻。

一段感情中，最令人害怕的，並不是爭執，而是沉默，轉而變成難以察覺的漸行漸遠，最後，直到雙方已經相對無言，才知道再補救也沒有用，又或許再也沒有補救的必要了吧!我想，最難以接受的分手理由，是”感情淡了”，當初兩人在一起時，曾激起多麼閃耀壯麗的火花?當初可是曾經抱著要相守一生的心願，怎麼可以因時間的沖刷而讓”感情淡了”成為分開的理由?當然，若真的淡了，也沒有理由勉強留住對方，只不過，這將會是最悲傷的分手理由了。並不是因外力介入，並不是內部紛爭，只是，對你沒感覺了，火，熄了，罷了。

在那火花閃耀之際，誰會預料到一地餘燼，奄奄一息呢?
