The lumineers

我很喜歡 Sleep on the Floor 的 MV ，男主角要女友和他一起遠走高飛，她猶豫著，最後答應了。隨著旋律，彷彿看見一個未知、但很美好的將來。這首歌說的是把握當下，趁著青春還在，勇敢上路。

第一、二段是敘事者要他的女友打包好，準備上路。在這一刻，他們都年輕、充滿熱情與勇氣，在這股衝動下，要是因為擔心顧慮而不上路，或許這一輩子就要永遠被困在平凡如死水的小鎮了。有些事，確實是此刻不做，這一輩子就都不會去做了。副歌的部分，他疑惑著，要是世界末日來臨，他會選擇放棄，就此死在平凡之地，還是會選擇抓住一絲希望，掙扎，奮力爭取幸福的未來。況且，現在並不是世界末日，勝利的機會大得多，那麼，到底有什麼理由不去爭取、不去嘗試呢？”Jesus Christ can’t save me tonight”，此刻，他最需要的不是耶穌的救贖，而是他心愛的人願意相信他。他需要另一半願意與他一同踏上這條冒險之路。

至於歌曲的標題，我也有點疑惑為何叫做 Sleep on the Floor。我猜想是說，即使沒有房子沒有床、沒有安定的生活，只要他們倆願意一起踏出這一步，睡在地板上也會很幸福。

仔細看了看 MV ，有點納悶這個影片到底想表達什麼。影片的最後一幕，女孩躺在地上，表情充滿憂傷。原本以為是男主角離開了、死了、或者其他可能，但不知道大家有沒有注意到，女主角在最後穿的是和影片開頭同一件衣服。我想，或許是其實女主角一開始並沒有答應男友的要求，在影片43秒的地方，女主角的身影有點糊掉，像是分身一樣，或許是有一部分的她希望和男友一起離開，但另一部分的她沒有勇氣這麼做。所以影片中間的冒險部分其實是女主角的幻想，影片結局是她躺在地板上，或許正懊悔著自己的膽小懦弱、放不下，又或者只是單純地想念著男友。
