繼上一次歌詞風格明亮的 Get Free 之後，這一首 Tomorrow Never Came 再次回歸我們所熟悉的 Lana Del Rey，進入了悲情戀人的黑暗漩渦，等待著一個永遠不會來的戀人。另外，這次與他同唱的就是歌詞中提到的 Sean，Sean Lennon 是披頭四成員 John Lennon 的兒子，其實兩人的聲音搭在一起真的滿適合的。

Lana 在這首歌中扮演的是一個癡情女子，一心想著守護兩人的約定，在那個曾經相約的地點等待著，那個對方曾經應允過會出現的明天。但明天似乎十分遙遠，怎麼等也不會有到來的一天，癡情的她不願說破殘酷的真相，明天早已到來，無數個明天已經過去，但那個「他」卻未能守約。但她仍不願怪罪於對方身上，她內心想的是那個兩人過去的幸福天堂，寧願說服自己，「明天」還沒到來，也不願接受其實「他」早已遠走他方。
