歌名就已经是个文字游戏，各种颜色都有分深浅，但她却选了Black黑色，难道有比黑色更深的黑色吗？当然，这里形容的是抑郁的心情，恋人离去后，仿佛跌入黑暗无底洞，以为已经要跌落谷底，却怎么也不见底，无止尽地往更黑暗的地方陷入。除了黑色之外，歌词中也用了Blue蓝色来玩游戏，Blue既可以指颜色，又可以指蓝调音乐，同时又是指涉忧郁的心情。

我想，这首歌要传达的除了悲伤之外，还有一种矛盾。如果只是不爱对方了，或者对方不爱自己了，这样的分手或许还单纯些。但这首歌中诉说的是更复杂的感情。一方面，她还爱着对方，希望两人能继续走下去，但另一方面，她明白这么做是行不通的，因此她既不愿结束这段感情，又无法向前，只能停滞在无线循环的黑暗中。
