Birdy beautiful lies

期待已久的 Birdy 新专辑 Beautiful Lies 终于在 3/25 发行，到现在还是很难相信我很喜欢的歌手是位年纪比我小好几岁的人，每次听 Birdy 的歌都觉得又欣赏又感慨。

Deep End 是这张专辑中我第二喜欢的歌曲（第一是 Beautiful Lies）。歌词内容也带有满多 Beautiful Lies 的影子，我觉得和其他爱情/分手的歌很不一样的是叙事者不只是替这份情感到悲痛，同时也因困惑及不舍而宁愿继续爱在谎言的阴影下也不愿分开。第一段是叙事者犹豫不决，不知是否该放下这段感情。旁人告诉她分开后并不会令她快乐，”They say there’ll be plenty other hands to hold/ Now I wish they’d told me long ago”表达了她陷入瓶颈，要是早知道谈这场恋爱会如此痛苦，她宁可一开始就不要与这个恋人在一起，因为她实在太爱他了，现在舍不得放手。

虽然爱着对方，但是爱情里难免有争执，”I don’t know if you mean everything to me/ And I wonder, can I give you what you need?”，她开始怀疑两人是否真的适合，是不是能带给对方快乐。但这个问题只是令她更加头痛、心痛，所以她宁可忽视，相信一切会慢慢好转，假装两人之间不曾有问题。她太孤单而不敢分手，害怕一旦分开就必须独自面对寂寞，于是她选择假装看不见两人之间的鸿沟，相信一旦摆着摆着久了，所有伤痛就会自动淡去。
