大衛·鮑伊David Bowie

David Bowie 是英國搖滾歌手兼創作人及演員，先前在Lana Del Rey 的 Terrence Loves You一曲中曾提到過他，以”Space Oddity”這首歌在英國音樂排行榜成名。

這次介紹David Bowie 的 Heroes 是電影《壁花男孩》的主題曲之一，是他在柏林居住時寫下的歌，而歌詞中出現的高牆指的是柏林圍牆。描寫一對情侶在柏林圍牆下親吻。David Bowie曾表示：

“I thought, of all the places to meet in Berlin, why pick a bench underneath a guard turret on the Wall?”
(我納悶，柏林有這麼多約會的地點，為何要選在柏林圍牆的砲塔下接吻呢？)

以此為故事背景寫成的一首歌。歌詞是想說當下的幸福勝過永恆，甚至一個片刻就可以成為永恆。在這麼一天，即使只有短短一天，若兩人能像國王與皇后一樣，儘管一人苛刻又自私，而另一人成天喝醉酒，仍然不會減少他們對彼此的愛，因為在這麼一天，他們就是最登對且最快樂的人。歌詞看似甜蜜，但沒有寫出來來的苦澀，卻隱含在其中。包括戰亂、外界對兩人愛情的反對、國家及社會的壓力等等，都使得兩人無法永遠在一起，因此他們不追求永遠，他們只要在這麼一天，把一天活得像永遠，把短暫的幸福化為永恆的記憶便心滿意足。

在歌詞最後一段，”We’re nothing, and nothing will help us/ Maybe we’re lying/ then you better not stay”表明了他知道兩人或許不適合對方，但儘管如此，當下的愛是抵擋不住的，即使知道這份愛長久來看行不通，仍要把握這一天，好好去愛。
