Birdy beautiful lies

Birdy 的 Words 这首歌唱片公司把标题翻成“千言万语”，其实我个人觉得应该要叫做“无以言对”才是，不过为了让大家好搜寻，我还是在歌词中依照上下文做了一些更动，让标题“千言万语”也说得通了。

这首歌的概念和 Beautiful Lies 也很类似，说的是在一段恋情中，明知道另一半对自己已经没有爱，却仍不愿面对真相，宁愿一直被蒙在鼓里，只要对方守在自己身边，即使没有爱、没有火花，也要说服自己没有事、一切都会好转。不过 Words 似乎已经进入到 Beautiful Lies 的下一个阶段了，知道在这样欺骗自己也不是办法，只好学会接受现实。

歌词第一段，恋人还守候在自己身旁，但”you tell me with your eyes what you need”，显然对方所需要的并不是她。即使知道如此，她却仍说 “All the things you hide for me I accept them”，暗示著或许对方的心已另有所属，不过为了暂时留住他，叙事者还是故作坚强，说自己不会刺探对方的秘密，因为她不想要真相大白，她不愿接受对方已不爱自己的事实。

然而，她再也无法忍受每天哭着入睡，醒来时泪还没干。”You’re in the clear”，她承认，对方不再爱她，这并非他的错。既然对方不愿回心转意，她只好忍痛放手。她心里有千言万语想说，却一句也说不出口，“再见”两个字太痛，她最后的心愿就是要对方替她说出口。

又是一个令人心痛的故事。分手的歌或许已经被唱到烂掉了，但不知为何 Birdy 唱起来仍然有一种很清新的感觉，仿佛每一句歌词都在说我们自己的故事，真实到令人心痛。
