（注）The writing’s on the wall源自圣经Daniel 5:5，墙上出现了神祕难解的讯息，巴比伦国王要求Daniel解读，Daniel警告国王因亵渎神明而得罪上帝，国王不听劝言，当晚，国王就被处死，而王国也崩解。在这里The writing’s on the wall就是指灾难即将来临的意思。

先前介绍过电台司令 Radiohead 的 Spectre ，Spectre 原本是为了007电影《Spectre 恶魔四伏》所作的同名主题曲，但最后却没有被采用，反而是 Sam Smith 的”Writing’s on the Wall”被选作为电影主题曲。

Spectre这个字原本就有恶魔、恶灵的意思，但若是看到歌名 “Writing’s on the Wall”，大家或许会有些疑惑，关于这一部份请看上面注解，”Writing on the wall”有维基将来临的意思。

这首歌除了讲述为了爱人而放手冒险之外，也说明了面对自己的恐惧。从前，因为只有自己一人，所以无论如何都只想逃避躲藏。然而，遇到相爱的人之后，由于不想再过著奔波而不安定的生活，决定面对自己的恐惧，一旦处理了危机，而不是逃避危机，便能确保两人日后的安全。因此，为了爱人，他愿意一试。

我觉得 Sam Smith 的Writing’s on the Wall 和 Radiohead 的 Spectre 很难拿来相提并论，毕竟两首歌根本是不同的曲风。我是一直有在听 Radiohead的歌，比较少听Sam Smith的歌，现在两首都很喜欢，不过我猜若没有习惯听Radiohead的人或许会比较容易接受Sam Smith 的Writing’s on the Wall。最后，一样附上电影预告片：
