Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds

绿洲合唱团解散后， Noel Gallagher 另组了乐团 Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds（诺尔盖勒格的高飞小鸟） ，虽然名气不比当年的绿洲，但是音乐却一点也不输。以前听绿洲时只听过主唱 Liam Gallagher 的声音，现在在 Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds 终于可以听见 Noel 的歌声，才发现以前一直不晓得 Noel 除了是乐团的创作首脑之外，他的声音也完全不输给 Liam Gallagher。Liam Gallagher 的歌声比较豪迈放荡、听起来有种很辽阔的感觉，而 Noel Gallagher 则多了几分稳重老陈。

这首 If I Had a Gun 歌词说的是爱情，但却是用 gun “枪”来贯串整首歌，爱情与枪，两个完全沾不上边的东西就这样做了巧妙的连结，不得不佩服 Noel 的作词。”If I had a gun, I’d shoot a hole into the sun/And love would burn this city down for you” ，我想，即使听过再怎么多的肉麻情歌，都不会想到可以用这种比喻来表达爱意，让人面目一新，完全不觉得陈腐老套。除了表达爱意之外，歌词中的主角更希望的是可以让他的爱人走出过去的伤痛， “If all the tears you cry would fade away/ I’ll be by your side, when they come to say goodbye”，这一句中的 they 指的就是过去的各种创伤，各种阻挡她前进的梦魇，他愿意陪着她度过这场告别的仪式，让她不只是忘掉过去的痛，还要真正能够走出来迎向新的未来。

“Hope I didn’t speak too soon” 这一段则又懊悔自己是否太快说出了自己的心声，太快表达了自己的爱意。因此，他只好暂时打住，”I’m holding on … I’m waiting for the moment to find me”，慢慢等待属于他们两的那一刻来临。

Noel Gallagher – If I Had a Gun

最近因为要介绍这个团，又重新复习了好多 Oasis 的歌，有好几首都是已经听到烂掉但还是忍不住一直听下去的歌，像是 Don’t Look Back in Anger、Wonderwall、Champagne Supernova  等等，每一首都是经典，代表着过去那个年代的向往。Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds 的新歌我还没有像 Oasis 的歌一样熟悉，但却在其中看见了类似的情绪。

总之，好歌永远不会老，大家有空也可以多听听十几二十年前的歌，如果发现还是一样好听，那首歌就是你的经典。
