Mika的這首Happy Ending用他特有的高亢中帶有一點活潑的聲音唱出來，把歌詞中的無奈與兩難唱得很到位。歌詞敘述一對剛分開的情侶，因為對對方仍有愛，仍有感覺，但卻因種種原因而分離。兩人雖然愛著對方，但生活中有許多事並不是愛就能解決的，大大小小的阻礙，並不是一切都能以情感來解決，因此兩人理智上認為或許分手會對彼此都好一些，但情感上卻割捨不下這段戀情，仍然想念著有對方陪伴的日子，回想起兩人曾幻想過歡樂過一輩子，那快樂結局已經不復存在，於是，此刻只能假裝一切都沒有發生，好像這不過是個破碎了的美夢，一覺醒來，轉眼成空。此後，兩人仍過著像原本一樣的生活，只不過，這次少了對方的陪伴。

這首歌讓我想到另一首經典老歌 Sometimes Love Just Ain’t Enough，有很多事真的不是兩人相愛就可解決的，相愛卻不能相守一輩子，雖然看似無奈，但卻如此真實。
