Birdy的声音很成熟，但成熟中又不至于太老成，所以无论是唱像wings这种比较激励人心的歌，或是像skinny love这种心碎了的歌都很适合，各有不同风格，但又不互相排斥。
这首Strange Birds是我认为在整张专辑里最悲伤的歌了，歌词可以有两种解释。
虽然两种都有些令人难过，但第一种稍微不是那么悲观，可以看成是两个孤独的人，从来不被社会主流的大众所重视，他们不曾被看见，不曾被听见，不曾被关心，但就在这时，其中一个人找到了另一个，就像心里的空缺被填满了一样，两人原本因为某些个性上的特殊而不被大众接受，但却因为这样，他们才找到了彼此。悲伤是最容易散播的情绪，看见了彼此的伤痛，他们不但不排斥，反而更加珍惜对方。
另外一种解释，我想是比较悲观的，歌词一开始就说 little ghost，有没有可能这里的little ghost并不是一个边缘人物的比喻，而是真正的一个孤单的鬼魂呢?这两个悲伤的灵魂，一个是人类，一个是鬼魂，这个人类之所以看得见鬼魂，是因为他已经被其他人类排挤到边缘，到了一个失去人性的地步，到了一个生不如死的地步，”Now I want to fly into your world”是一个向往死亡的象征，预告著自己即将结束生命，因为在这世上已经没有活着的意义。
当然第二种解释有点太偏激了，不过，这种想法，或许不只出现在歌词里，或许很多人都有过，能够感同身受吧!
