Birdy的聲音很成熟，但成熟中又不至於太老成，所以無論是唱像wings這種比較激勵人心的歌，或是像skinny love這種心碎了的歌都很適合，各有不同風格，但又不互相排斥。
這首Strange Birds是我認為在整張專輯裡最悲傷的歌了，歌詞可以有兩種解釋。
雖然兩種都有些令人難過，但第一種稍微不是那麼悲觀，可以看成是兩個孤獨的人，從來不被社會主流的大眾所重視，他們不曾被看見，不曾被聽見，不曾被關心，但就在這時，其中一個人找到了另一個，就像心裡的空缺被填滿了一樣，兩人原本因為某些個性上的特殊而不被大眾接受，但卻因為這樣，他們才找到了彼此。悲傷是最容易散播的情緒，看見了彼此的傷痛，他們不但不排斥，反而更加珍惜對方。
另外一種解釋，我想是比較悲觀的，歌詞一開始就說 little ghost，有沒有可能這裡的little ghost並不是一個邊緣人物的比喻，而是真正的一個孤單的鬼魂呢?這兩個悲傷的靈魂，一個是人類，一個是鬼魂，這個人類之所以看得見鬼魂，是因為他已經被其他人類排擠到邊緣，到了一個失去人性的地步，到了一個生不如死的地步，”Now I want to fly into your world”是一個嚮往死亡的象徵，預告著自己即將結束生命，因為在這世上已經沒有活著的意義。
當然第二種解釋有點太偏激了，不過，這種想法，或許不只出現在歌詞裡，或許很多人都有過，能夠感同身受吧!
