這首歌的歌詞內容其實應該算滿容易懂的，沒有太多模稜兩可或需要解釋的地方，不過有好幾句雖然簡單卻能深深的打動人心，讓人覺得：沒錯，這就是最單純的愛，就是那種不用多想，只要輕輕閉上眼，對方及有關他的一切就會映入腦海，完全無法克制的那種愛。

歌詞敘述一對或許該稱作「友達以上，戀人未滿」的男女，他想追求她，她卻因為曾經受過的愛情創傷而遲遲不肯前進。在外人看來，已過去的感情就過去了，沒什麼好留戀，好好把握下一個更好的才正確。不過我想在愛情裡根本沒有正確不正確這一回事，那段已逝的感情並不是說走就走，即使我們知道再沉溺下去也於事無補，再愛下去也只會使自己受傷，但也許我們種是這份情感更勝於我們重視自己，所以寧願受傷也不願拋下不管。
