Summer Wine这首歌其实还满有历史的，作曲者是Lee Hazlewood，之后又有各种版本的翻唱，包括法文、德文、西班牙文等等，英文版也有很多版本。其中我觉得Lana Del Rey & Barrie-James O’Neill的版本真的别具特色，Lana的声音阴柔中带有一种慵懒，再加上背景配乐，带出一种妩媚的氛围，和原唱的Suzi Jane Hokom 及 Lee Hazlewood版本很不一样。

歌词内容叙述一个女人被一个佩戴银色马刺的男人给吸引，并邀他一起喝酒。男人在酒精作用下迷迷糊糊，酒醒后发现自己的银色马刺和钱都随那神祕女子消失无踪。当然，歌词的叙述故事有可能就只是字面上的喝醉酒，醒来发现钱被偷，但若只是这么单纯的话，或许歌词最后男人就不会说left me cravin’ for more summer wine了吧！left me cravin’ for more summer wine　留下我 独自渴望那夏日佳酿，是一种“被偷了、被骗了也心甘情愿”的心情。我想比较有可能的解释是女人为了钱，用性及陪酒作为交换，而银色马刺就是她的报酬。她是一个神秘女子，来无影去无踪，而他则像著了魔一样，被偷了钱反而对那女子拥有更强烈的渴望。

如果更进一步跳脱字面的意思的话，我想summer wine可以当作一切幸福的象征。歌词一开始说夏日美酒是由Strawberries, cherries and an angel’s kiss in spring这些东西酿成，也就代表了生命中所有我们渴望的事物。有幸福，必定有付出代价，因此马刺就是他的代价。最后，消失无踪的女子与美酒，则说明了幸福的稍纵即逝。整首歌充斥着糜烂的颓废美学，果然适合夏日配上一杯美酒一边欣赏。

下面附上各个版本的summer wine，这一首是最有名的版本，由作曲者本人和Nany Sinatra合唱，个人觉得女声太霸气，没有诱惑的感觉。
