（注）The writing’s on the wall源自聖經Daniel 5:5，牆上出現了神祕難解的訊息，巴比倫國王要求Daniel解讀，Daniel警告國王因褻瀆神明而得罪上帝，國王不聽勸言，當晚，國王就被處死，而王國也崩解。在這裡The writing’s on the wall就是指災難即將來臨的意思。

先前介紹過電台司令 Radiohead 的 Spectre ，Spectre 原本是為了007電影《Spectre 惡魔四伏》所作的同名主題曲，但最後卻沒有被採用，反而是 Sam Smith 的”Writing’s on the Wall”被選作為電影主題曲。

Spectre這個字原本就有惡魔、惡靈的意思，但若是看到歌名 “Writing’s on the Wall”，大家或許會有些疑惑，關於這一部份請看上面註解，”Writing on the wall”有維基將來臨的意思。

這首歌除了講述為了愛人而放手冒險之外，也說明了面對自己的恐懼。從前，因為只有自己一人，所以無論如何都只想逃避躲藏。然而，遇到相愛的人之後，由於不想再過著奔波而不安定的生活，決定面對自己的恐懼，一旦處理了危機，而不是逃避危機，便能確保兩人日後的安全。因此，為了愛人，他願意一試。

我覺得 Sam Smith 的Writing’s on the Wall 和 Radiohead 的 Spectre 很難拿來相提並論，畢竟兩首歌根本是不同的曲風。我是一直有在聽 Radiohead的歌，比較少聽Sam Smith的歌，現在兩首都很喜歡，不過我猜若沒有習慣聽Radiohead的人或許會比較容易接受Sam Smith 的Writing’s on the Wall。最後，一樣附上電影預告片：
