Summer Wine這首歌其實還滿有歷史的，作曲者是Lee Hazlewood，之後又有各種版本的翻唱，包括法文、德文、西班牙文等等，英文版也有很多版本。其中我覺得Lana Del Rey & Barrie-James O’Neill的版本真的別具特色，Lana的聲音陰柔中帶有一種慵懶，再加上背景配樂，帶出一種嫵媚的氛圍，和原唱的Suzi Jane Hokom 及 Lee Hazlewood版本很不一樣。

歌詞內容敘述一個女人被一個佩戴銀色馬刺的男人給吸引，並邀他一起喝酒。男人在酒精作用下迷迷糊糊，酒醒後發現自己的銀色馬刺和錢都隨那神祕女子消失無蹤。當然，歌詞的敘述故事有可能就只是字面上的喝醉酒，醒來發現錢被偷，但若只是這麼單純的話，或許歌詞最後男人就不會說left me cravin’ for more summer wine了吧！left me cravin’ for more summer wine　留下我 獨自渴望那夏日佳釀，是一種「被偷了、被騙了也心甘情願」的心情。我想比較有可能的解釋是女人為了錢，用性及陪酒作為交換，而銀色馬刺就是她的報酬。她是一個神秘女子，來無影去無蹤，而他則像著了魔一樣，被偷了錢反而對那女子擁有更強烈的渴望。

如果更進一步跳脫字面的意思的話，我想summer wine可以當作一切幸福的象徵。歌詞一開始說夏日美酒是由Strawberries, cherries and an angel’s kiss in spring這些東西釀成，也就代表了生命中所有我們渴望的事物。有幸福，必定有付出代價，因此馬刺就是他的代價。最後，消失無蹤的女子與美酒，則說明了幸福的稍縱即逝。整首歌充斥著糜爛的頹廢美學，果然適合夏日配上一杯美酒一邊欣賞。

下面附上各個版本的summer wine，這一首是最有名的版本，由作曲者本人和Nany Sinatra合唱，個人覺得女聲太霸氣，沒有誘惑的感覺。
