阴雨绵绵的十一月，正适合听一首关于十一月的悲歌。

November 这首歌是关于一段不愉快的感情，对自己所造成的阴影。歌词第一句的 English rain 就呼应了专辑名称 English Rain，多了点异国情调及惆怅。在这段感情中，叙事者感受到对方已不再如从前一样珍惜自己。因为感情的变质及互相伤害的话语，两人终于分手，而分手的季节，就是在飘着冷雨的十一月。

对于这首歌，Gabrielle Aplin 曾有这样的解释：
“We got the idea of a bad event (maybe a break-up, or argument) happening, and constantly being reminded by it, which ruins something you used to love. ”
