Russian Red – The Memory Is Cruel

Russian Red 原名 Lourdes Hernández，是一位獨立西班牙創作歌手。最初她只是想找個帶有藝術氣質的藝名，才會選她最愛的口紅色號作為名字。Russian Red 來自西班牙馬德里，但作詞、唱歌都使用英文，獨特的唱腔中帶有甜美與清純，像水一般的平滑、輕盈。

The Memory Is Cruel 訴說一個對前任愛人念念不忘的故事。歌詞中的 you 就是故事的主角，他愛的女孩已經永遠離他而去， “she’s going to live forever” 中的 she 指的是那女孩的回憶。雖然人已離開，但她的靈魂，與她的過去卻一直留在屋裡，時時刻刻提醒著主角自己還愛著她，“It reminds there’s no one new” ，就是因為對前任愛人的記憶猶新，怎麼也無法忘懷她的好，因此無法走出破碎的感情、無法展開下一段戀愛。
