Passenger – Young As The Morning Old As The Sea

最近比較少追蹤音樂界的新聞，聽到 Passenger 與 Birdy 合唱的新曲真是又驚又喜，兩個好歌聲的組合會創造出怎麼樣的樂曲，真是難以想像。果然，Passenger 與 Birdy 沒有讓我失望，Beautiful Birds 這首歌又是一首撼動人心的好歌。

歌詞一開始敘述一對戀人，愛戀初期一切都是如此完美，只要兩人在一塊兒，一同歌唱、一同飛翔，世界便是美好的，就好像這世界因為他們倆的愛情而美麗一般。但轉折就發生在那個春末，”But one day you asked for a different song”，有天他突然愛上了不同的曲風，誰也沒想過人什麼時候會改變心意。什麼時候，我們心愛的人、我們自以為瞭解的人會在一夜之間變了個樣，兩人之間再也回不去從前，而「美麗的一對鳥兒」也只屬於過去。”To build a nest we pecked feathers from our chests”，兩人曾為了築巢而啄下身上的羽毛，為了兩人的愛付出過的心血、忍耐過的痛苦，到底有沒有報償，誰也無法肯。在熱戀時，誰料得到，或許這是一場不會開花結果的愛情？
