Lana Del Rey – Summertime Sadness

一開始聽Lana Del Rey的這首歌時還不太懂，總覺得歌詞內容有點矛盾，乍看之下像是寫給已離開自已的戀人，但再深入一點想，覺得更像是寫個一個已經死去的戀人。

整首歌前幾段全都是故作堅強，即使戀人已經不在，卻仍要裝作沒事的樣子，藉由參加party或是飆車、跳舞，來忘記戀人死去的傷痛，不過有幾個小地方還是透露出被傷透了的心，從Oh if I go, I’ll be happy tonight和Nothing scares me anymore，都可以看出因為戀人已經死去，所已死亡再也不對她造成任何威脅或恐懼，以前當這對戀人還在一起時，或許會害怕意外、害怕疾病、害怕天災人禍，只因為兩個人在一起的日子太幸福了，反而更害怕失去。但現在戀人已經走了，她如同一無所有，便沒有什麼是害怕失去的了，而死亡反而能讓自己感覺更接近已在天國的愛人。Late is better than never像是在說，雖然無法兩人同時死去，但跟不上死去戀人的腳步並不代表兩人無法再次在天國相遇，她將會跟隨他的腳步死去，所以才會說Even if you’re gone I’m gonna drive, drive，即使戀人已經死去，她也不會停止追尋他。

夏日本該是最生機盎然的時刻，但這首歌卻在這個事事繁盛的季節讓兩人分離，更能襯托出那難以形容的憂愁。如果兩人真的在死後相遇了，那麼這夏日憂愁也就可以有個了結了吧！
